They're back with a vengeance and I am having to pick them off and crush them as I have no knowledge of how I can otherwise get rid of them.

    Any comments/advice please

If you hold them and hold them up to your ear you can hear them squealing. I promise you this is true!
I just chuck 'em over the fence when I find them!

I just found two. Bit too late to listen to them now as they're in beetle heaven but in the unlucky event that I find another I'll have a go

 Picking them off & crushing them is eco friendly, but you never get all the blighters.!! Yes they do make a noise, tell us how long yours last without food or water Kandy.... Horrid things they are... [IMG] :D
;) I spray with Provado, it is a systemic bug killer & works very well. I try to be as eco friendly as I can, but some pests like the Lily beetle are almost impossible to beat any other way...!! They seem to be a big problem in this area...

Not only in your area Marley - they love our garden with a passion. Or rather the lilies in our garden.

[IMG] I don't blame her for not wanting to squash the larvea chobart as they are really disgusting. They cover themselves in their own excrement to deter you & other predators...!!!!  :D
