I seem to remember reading somewhere once that it takes some time before plants can get the nutrients from BFB, does anyone have a ball park figure of how long that is? Days, weeks or months?

I used to buy small separate sacks of blood, fish, bonemeal from the old fashioned Plant Nursery near me, now sadly gone. The effects of the blood could be seen in days, while the bonemeal and fish would take weeks to dissolve and take effect. And, of course, if the weather was dry that would slow things down.

    .

It depends a lot on the temperature, plants do not absorb nutriments (much) in the winter months but once it warms up and the (sun shines) then it is a different story!

Nothings grows (well) without lots of sunshine and we have not had many days of glorious sunshine here in Quedgeley so far this year!

    But there's always hope
    even in hell I hope!
