Oh I want some! I had a plague of slugs and snails and so I thought :ideaIPB: I'll put in a small pond to encourage frogs. I know I have them, I've disturbed them in the plants from time to time. But it's been about 5 years now and not a single spawn!

So then I went another route and got rid of the kniphofia - problem solved!

Mine arrived yesterday morning as well (Barnsley, South Yorkshire). When I left for work there was one small patch, when i got back both ponds were full of the stuff.

My mate who lives north of Leeds got his 2 weeks ago and already has tadpoles swimming about - same thing happened last year - they must like it up north?

Also, I was going to ask - some of the clumps of spawn are sitting half out of the water (a bit like in Roders' pic, but higher out of the water), is it a good idea to move it around a bit so it is totally submerged or just leave it how it is?

Been around for a couple of weeks here Roders.

Its a nice sign, you know things are beginning to move once the frogs get going.

Today I was negotiating a large-ish roundabout when I saw something looked like a bundle of being blown across the road. Then I spotted another - they were little frogs, making a straight bee-line to a lake on the other side of the road. I managed to avoid them and I so hope they made it safely to their destination.

They looked like little robots plodging along! [IMG]
