I saw this plant on holiday in Bormes in the south of France. It doesn't look particularly special, but the scent was wonderful. Any idea what it is?

    Thanks, Victoria.

I don't think it would survive up here on west coast of Scotland. However, if I had a conservatory, I'd be very tempted to try my hand at growing some.

Edit: I see that it is regarded as invasive in Australia and New Zealand, and that one site says "Clusters of highly scented allergenic tubular flowers are produced in spring." Allergenic, eh? It didn't say anything about that in Wikipedia, and I suspect that not many people in the Med know it. These antipodeans can be very negative!
