Tree with dead leaves

    I have what i thinck is a Hornbeam birch tree the leaves have all died off as well as the garden oppersite, Do you think it could have been due to the hard winter

    Hello and welcome Johnson.
    We are now at the end of June. If the leaves on the tree are still brown and dead looking then the tree is probably dead. Probably due to the hard winter. What a shame - but it happens.
    Can you let us have a pic of the tree so that we can see what is going on.
