There was me saying pea flowers are mostly white, then I saw the latest batch of Mangetout:DOH:

And these are the Blau Hide French beans, not as showy as sweet peas but you get a lot of pods to eat:dbgrtmb:

        Cheers Roders,

The river is just beyond the trees & last year I found the remains of a Giant Puffball near the hedge. Been checking the patch each time i'm down there.

You can also watch the foxes playing around a girt clump of Japanese Knotweed:shocked::runhills:

The Melplash show will be in the field next month too:thumbsup:

Nice, I like the red stems. Do you need to twine them yourself, or do they climb themself?

Mostly they climb themselves, not like the stupid ones I mentioned on an earlier thread:DOH:

They are a bit late this year on account of the pants weather, but I still expect to fill the freezer with enough to last till spring:dbgrtmb:

Do you eat them cold or hot? I wouldn't mind them if they're like garden peas :D but I doubt I'd want them cold..

Funnily enough Zig, I was expecting white flowers on my Mange Tout, but they look more like sweet pea flowers, lovely purpley-pink!:heehee: They taste good though - the pods that is.
