We'll be doing a bit today around mid-day when it warms up.
The almomd tree we've had for two years is galloping away and needs shaping. I hope in September to get more than the six dozen or so almonds I got last year, which was a surprising increase as we got less than a dozen the first year.
We've a couple of viburnums in the front garden that seem to flower all year, but the centres are very "woody" so some of it will have to come out to encourage more growth from younger wood and the roses are for it.
I'll remove the "white wood" from my two Japanese acers as I do each year and any stray new wood on the quinces that are against the side fence will be pruned or tied back.
I'll also tidy up the wisterias checking for any bits I missed in January and hopefully vac up the last of the dead leaves.
There won't be a lot to show for it after a couple of hours or so work, but at least it will be done.

me and hubby were busy outside. I pruned the wisteria which has gone mental and the hardy fuchsias and the buddlia. Also took the dead stuff off the old hanging baskets (which were in small greenhouses), watered them and put the back undercover. half the plants from last year will regrow and then i'll replant them all into new baskets
