Sheal, your attachment shows the browser at full width and GC below narrower, so unless you've actually got the 'top' (masthead) of the GC webite (rather than the browser bars) at a different width and you're using Internet Explorer (might be same with others) click on View (to the right of File & Edit) and my guess is you'll only be on 75 or 100% Zoom if using a laptop, so try increasing to 100 or 125%

Thanks Ziggy, but it doesn't make any difference.

Thanks Scrungee, but I'm going to hang on for a bit and see if Marley comes up with anything. I have made no alterations and this has happened over the last few days, the same time as the staff has made alterations to the site. :)

It's dead easy to check if that's the problem and if it isn't change it back again.

Here I've tried to replicate your problem by viewing GC at reduced Zoom - look familiar?:

And here's how to change the View>Zoom to get a GC page back to (almost) full width:

If it doesn't work, all you need to do is change your Zoom setting back to what it was, just like I did (to the correct %) after taking that screen shot above.

Scrungee, sorry, I think you're missing the point. :)

Looking at your picture above...........example: If I go into the Non-Gardening Discussion section to look at the threads, on exit the whole of the top of the site disappears from the the green band showing General Discussion and upwards. It also happens if I go into the top part of the site General Gardening Discussion and come out, the bottom half of the site disappears. When I'm actually in the threads, that is when the site widens out. I have to come out and the only way I can get the full site back is to go to the top bar and click on Gardeners Corner - the only Gardening Forum you will ever need.

Then on entering a section elsewhere, the whole process starts again.

Things are going from bad to worse. Since I posted the screen picture I have another couple of problems.

When I open up a thumbnail, the picture appears but the screen goes black and the forum disappears. I have to hit the back arrow to retrieve it.

Also when I open User CP I pretty much just get a grey box. This is all now getting worrying.

I'm visititing my son-in-law later and I'll see if he can come up with anything. He has the knowledge! :)

Sounds like you've not got enough bandwith Sheal, maybe the supply boat can pack some next to the loo rolls.

        Can you stream other stuff?

          Thanks all,

Panic over, my son-in-law has taken a look and says all is normal, it's to do with the alterations to the site.

Can I ask please, in future, is it possible to let us no what alterations have been made to the site, perhaps via a Sticky. So that I and others, that are not completely computer literate don't go into brain melt-down when something is altered. Thanks. :)
