    Hey guys,

I am a 2nd year Mechanical Engineering student and I need to design a cordless handtool for the garden market. I haven't seen my idea anywhere on the internet and I wanted to know what you think! Its only 2 questions and a little description of what it would do. I would be very grateful if you could answer the questions!
    Thanks!

I was thinking more along the lines of

    a) To make a pair of letters lets say GC, would you not need some type of stencil ?

    b) £40 its too cheap for what its claimed it can do

    c) will vidbor ever come back?

(Its just that, that type of question has been asked before, and the OP never comes back)

Is that different to a pair of "Cut & Hold secateurs" ?

Can't see any significant market for the tool, though it's a good idea perhaps for anyone who has vast expanses of hedge to trim and wants to maintain fancy shapes. You can't achieve an 'instant' effect carving a shape into a growing structure - it takes a bit of finesse.

It might be an idea to get out of college/uni and go and talk to and watch some gardeners and find out what kind of powered assistance they could use and you could develop.
