Not really sure but it looks like the Erigeron we have growing out of our stone paths and around our cold frames. Also known as Fleabane, this looks very similar but the leaves are not as toothed as I would expect, but then again sometimes the new growth is leased toothed than the leaves that grow later in the year.

'leased toothed' ? I mean less toothed! And the daisy like flowers are very pretty- is does self seed like a monkey though, so once you've got it etc, etc!

Thank you JackoFish. I'm sure you are correct as we have some in the area but looking brown and straggly from the winter 's harsher elements. I shall continue with the TLC and plonk it in the middle of a hanging basket later,
    regards,

Glad to help Jenny, they do tend to look a bit brown and straggly this time of year but if you have a good group of them they brighten up a dull corner all summer long :hapydancsmil:

With a name like flea bane, if I rub it all over my useless mouse catching cats do you think it will get rid of their fleas cheaper than frontline !!

A visiting friend has shown me how to upload pictures. You'll wish he hadn't in due course but this is a trial run

Make sure you tear off the sticking-out-bit of Loo-roll above the surface when you plant them out (otherwise it will act as a wick and dry out the cardboard below the surface, and the roots won't be able to grow through it) :blue thumb:

Thanks for that tip Kristen. They are all up in the south facing bedroom awaiting assembly of the white card backdrop. They have started to "lean" a little already but have had oodles of sunshine adn their first true leaves are showing. I got 9 germinations out of 11.5 and seeing as they were free with Gardeners World they don't owe me nuffink.
I am awed by the volume of different toms you all grow!:wow: Am I the only one growing Kaskotka?
