Well having spent an eternity on here, asking question after question after question, I am REALLY pleased with how my growing veg experience is going so far! I have only got a tiny space, but have wanted to give it a try for years. My raised bed is showing (from bottom left): spinach, marigolds, lettuce (tiny at mo), spring onions, radish (my favourite), french mix salad leaves, californian salad leaves, rocket (the biggest) and a row of little gem (planted about a fortnight ago...). My broccoli is undercover in the 'greenhouse' and doing really well, as are my carrot seedlings and potatoes.
Inside the house, I have potted on my pepper plants and have them in home-made mini greenhouses..all doing well.
I am completely loving this project...and would definitely reccomend it to anyone who is thinking of giving it a try! (don't ask me for advice tho...lol) I will leave that for Kristen and Shiney!!!

Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for all the advice so far. This really is the only gardening forum you will need!

I am sure I will have many more questions as time goes on...

      Oh dear.
      You have the Bug.
I hope the cat:cat-kittyandsmiley: doesn't object too much when you dig up the lawn for the Spuds.

lol thanks for all those comments...it certainly is addictive. I ate my first ever home grown rocket leaf last night...and I know it's not exactly hard to grow rocket, but it was SO wierd eating it, knowing that you have grown it. I have already looked around my garden for likely spots to expand to, next year...providing all goes well this year, that is! I am sure it will....

Oh, I don't know, there is only that 10 minute window between planting Rocket & pulling it out because its gone to seed.

I look forward to the time of year when everything on my plate has been grown or caught/forraged by myself.

I can't believe how fast it is all going! I have been really enjoying this whole experience but have been SO frustrated lately, what with the weather!!!! The wind and rain has been horrendous and has seen off quite a few of my crops. It's wierd how you get attached to them...running out at 11pm at night to try and protect everything...lol
Well just thought I'd put a few pics of things I have grown...I know it's not very exciting...but it's my first year and am really pleased with myself. Tried showing people I know...but they just not interested lol :lunapic 130165696578242 5:
