My new pur chase yesterday from our fab garden centre (celebrating it's 65th birthday) was these. Like something a bit different and although I know I won't get much this year I thought they would be a good investment for next season so bought 3 plants to go in a trough as understand they spread like strawberries.
Out of interest does anyone else grow these and any tips for a good crop?

I saw Pineberries on sale on the QVC channel at the start of the year and i thought they seem interesting, i didn't order any though, but remember them saying they look like white Strawberries but taste and smell like Pineapple, same genetic makeup as the common Strawberry and best grown in a greenhouse. All i know about them, good luck with growing them GCQ :)

Was in the garden over the weekend and noticed the Pineberries are starting to flower so keeping fingers crossed we may get some this year.
I thought i'd try my hand at pegging down some of the runners last year and have got 5 healthy plants ( even though not paid any attention to them through spring) so have put them into bigger pots as they were bound

Any other advice around feeding would be grateful still not found much advice on them around.

Actually is not a new introduction , but the other way round , the white strawberry known as Frutilla Bianca di Puren was almost exstinct up to few years ago when some ducth cultivator decided to reintroduce it as novelty , it`s just a case that taste like a pineapple , but nothing to do with it .......it`s just a Chilenian white strawberry.
