Can anyone recommend me a good leaf vacuum?

Read some reviews but most seem to only mention the blowing function but I need a very good vacuum type

The Flymo range is pretty good Walter . Go for at least a 2kw one so it has enough power . They all vacuum or blow with a quick flick of a lever.
Ebay is a good source for a second hand one.

the prob I found with the cheaper leafblowers (electric) is that when it,s really needed (in autumn) , the leaves are wet and they don't work very well and even work worse in vacuum mode

I have never tried a billy goat though and many landscapers say this is the one to get if you do it for a living (you can hire these aswell) ... I definately will be looking at something similar later this year, as I spent hours last year raking leaves

Oh, the laughter must be heard around the world by now. I just showed the picture of the leaf vacuum to my trees and they roared in laughter.

Redstars garden is part of a forrest in Pensylvania USA
She showed a leaf blower to the trees and they laughed at her

A bit like you having a cottage in the middle of Nottingham forrest and buying a leaf blower
