    Hi everyone.

My wife and kids call this my "bog brush plant". I'm sure it must have a better name. It started off as a small corm which didn't do anything the first year. Then sprouted a flower stalk the second year. It has split each year, and now produces 6 or 7 flower stalks from what looks like a mass of 3 or 4 corms; it stands about 80cm tall. I broke a piece off one last year and the process seems to be starting over again in another pot.

Can anyone help with an ID.

    Best regards
    Ned

By the way, the flowers stink like rotting meat and the flies love it.

Not E.autumnalis (has pure white flowers and plain stems), but Eucomis bicolor. E.bicolor has the picotee(?) edge to the flowers and the mottled stems the same as this one. 80cm would be quite a height for E.autumnalis too I think...........
