    yes , call me whatever you feel fit , it wasnt a accident , i diddnt read the label ! i squirted weed killer on my lawn , result , 20 brown circles , read the label " DO NOT SPRAY ON GRASS UNLESS YOU WANT IT TO DIE " :(

    What now ?

      blade you are human nothing more nothing less but you have learnt a valuable lesson that i dont think you will forget in a hurry :oopss:

        What sort of weedkiller was it? Some are persistant and can stay in the soil.

        Oh Blimey, at least you've only got patches. Local gardener around here managed to kill off ALL the lawn.

          Im saying nowt...I found a packet of Sodium Chlorite in the garage and I am very aware of how much damage that can do.

            A few years ago the head greenkeeper at a Golf club near me manged to fully spray 3 or 4 greens with weedkiller. He is now an ex head green keeper.

              Resolva contains chemicals that degrade when they hit the soil, so I'd give the areas a really good drenching with a hose just in case there are any residues left. Then sprinkle some new grass seed and lightly rake it in. Water it regularly, don't let the seed dry out. The new seed should germinate in a couple of weeks at this time of year.

                  I think he actually wanted advice here guys:scratch:

                  does the bottle say how long before you can plant ?

                  if is was me and i am no expert on lawns ....( I hate them ) i would take off top sod of soil with dead grass, then with new soil / compost and dig into affected area rake it over to level and firm down with flat of rake then cover area with grass seeds as directed on packaging and FOLLOW THE CARE INSTRUCTIONS

                      thanks to the couple of posts that gave advice ! , do you think the brown grass will come back eventually , like where the dogs wee or is it goodbaye forever ?
