    Evening all.

Apart from my one massive 13 inch bean, I have loads of smaller runner beans at various stages of development. Some can come off whenever, being around 4 to 6 inches long. Many more are much smaller, no point harvesting yet.

The trouble is, we've had a hint of frost here for the last 3 nights in a row. Nothing major, just a hint. Are my beans likely to grow any more now, or should I harvest the few that are worth taking and just write the rest off?

I've picked whatever's pickable and I'm far, far further south than you.

I would wait for the frost to do it ... unless your 5-day forecast is dire you might get enough of a reprieve for the beans to come on a bit more, although might be a bit of a long shot this time of year.

Don't pull the roots up when you clear the crop (I'm sure you know that)

Mine just aren't setting any seeds now, although covered in flowers. My dad says it's because they need bumble bees, and it's too cold for them now.
