Well it must taste good Sal , it will never win a beauty competition
After a quick Google this is also known as the Poblano , a mild Mexican Chilli just 1.500 on the scoville scale . I am growing a similar mild chilli the Anaheim this year. Hopefully mild enough for grilling or adding to salads , without blowing your socks off !

Ancho is the name for dried poblano, in the same way as chipotle is smokey dried jalopeno ... I do recommend everyone to buy a dehydrator.

It`s addictive in paella , pasta , stew, fry up , noodles and panini ....
But so far £1.80 for 2 dry chillis .....would love to cultivate few.

I am guessing you mean cooking! I can usually get chilli in to most dishes, I've done a superb bread & butter pudding with a hint or two of chilli

No, you ARE the only one lol

dried, smoked jalapeno chillis with a smooth mild flavour that adds just a touch of heat. It is superb in chilli (of course), paella, soups, stews and I'm quite tempted to try it in a mug of steaming Bovril.
This is embarrassing but I do find myself just opening the packet for a quick sniff while in the kitchen. Then again I do that for my Macallan 18 yr as well :)

I grew Anaheim last year. Got a bit of heat but subsides after a few minutes. I am going to grow it again this year along a few hotter ones.
