Not to keen on ornaments but I do have a couple of Turkish evil eye pendants hanging from a tree.

    Hallo Jack,
welcome to Gardeners Corner. I have completed your survey but would have liked a few more options. I hope you like the look of our set up . Plenty of gardens to wander around and view. Others will be along soon to say hallo,

    Hi Jack

I'm confused because on the one hand, you state your survey is regarding "saving water in the garden"

You then go on to say that you are aiming to discover, from the survey, which style of garden ornament we dislike.

    The two are not synonymous.

I *could* answer your survey on garden decorations, but, my answers would have no bearing on saving water and would skew your results; thus, your survey would be inaccurate and would invalidate much of your argument. (I take it this is for a dissertation?) So, what I prefer in style when it comes to saving water, could be completely different from what I expect/demand from a garden ornament/decoration.

This is just one angle would could, potentially, invalidate your results and actually give you a lower mark than you may, ultimately, deserve because it will weaken your overall argument. Simply because your survey results are not consistent with your aim of "saving water in the garden". :dunno:

The questions are too restrictive. For example, "some" of my ornamentation in my garden are authentic objects and some are whimsicle. The choice is dependent on function/atmosphere/interpretation/whether they were gifts or a specific purchase. Yet, none have anything whatsoever to do with water conservation.

It is late in the day to redo your survey for a final year dissertation and I do hope you will find some success from your survey: albeit, skewed, subjective and weak in terms of "evidence". However, I must say this: if you have presented this survey to your project supervisor for approval (and been granted it!) I would be most disappointed in my project supervisor!

I cannot complete your survey - despite really wanting to assist you - because the survey, in terms of your aims, is flawed. Sorry

To help, i didn't do the survey as I could potentially have ticked all the options. Plus as said, the questions don't seem relevant to saving water. Questions on water butt preferences however, would be more appropriate, unless your project involves designing a water butt that stands out, costs £25 - £50, looked artificial, 1m+ in height, functional and modern - perhaps like the below.
