It's not your fault though. You couldn't have known what was going to happen.

That's a shame Zigs, I hope you get your money back, I think you have a good chance as you paid by Credit Card.

            Ta good people:)

Will know in 5 working days according to the auto response email from the Credit card company.

Main bother now is that the house is not being marketed. I need to sell it very soon, before my luncheon vouchers run out:oops:

Sorry to hear the news Zigs. I'm pretty sure you'll get your money back but that doesn't help your selling situation. Good luck, I hope it comes right for you. :)

sorry to hear about the estate agent Zig, going into liquidation just when it is a good time of the year to sell a house! Let's hope you can list it again and raise some interest!

I emailed the friend i'd put onto them, she's moved to Cyprus but still trying to sell her house here. Don't feel so bad now as she reminded me the last agent she had, who she recommended to me, also went bust.

Found another company called Property Eagle, who will do the whole package for £249.

Will do some carefull checking out first though.

Just a thought, Zigs, but as there are a lot of Brits moving (flocking?) back to the UK recently, would it be worth placing some free ads on the various ex-pat fora like Anglo Info and French Entree? From what I've read, Somerset is a popular area for re-location, and it wouldn't cost anything but a little time....Good luck!

Panic over, they've been taken over by another company who assured me it will be back on Rightmove within the next day or so, same terms and conditions & no extra charges:phew:

Had a look at the Expat websites Noisette, couldn't see a free ads section:dunno:
