    This plant I found in a pot a couple of years ago and planted it in the middle border but I've not seen it flower yet, maybe this year, but has anyone any idea what it is. I'll try to put a macro shot on if we don't get an I.D. in the next few posts.:snork:

      Looks like melianthus major to me, but correct me if i am wrong. It does get cut back by frosts but often shoots off again from the base. The leaves smell of peanuts!

      It certainly has the look of Melianthus to me.. Seems familiar & I feel I should be sure but I am not quite either....

              This hasn't spread far, longk. Your plant is more green in the leaf whereas the plant in my garden is more of a blue/grey colour??:dunno::scratch::snork:

              Melianthus has a blue green leaf which is waxy and leathery, slightly, and smells very peculiar. LongK's perennial is a yarrow or goldenrod type of thing with a much softer leaf texture.
