Hi longk, I did try to move it when I realised it was growing out of the Compost Heap but it appears to be pretty far down. However, you're right and I will have to spend some time getting it out without breaking the stems. I do have a lot in the borders so I'm not going to be short of them:heehee:

Sorry, Joolz, I missed the question. Yes, the Lemon tree stayed in the Kitchen along with the Orange tree over the Winter and both are now enjoying the warmth and fresh air of June.:snork:

Love the pond. When I move at some point in the next few years I will be getting a decent sized pond, and I too would like to try to go the 'natural' way when it comes to filtering. I like the idea of getting a good working ecosystem with plantage to maintain a balance, instead of using machinery.

    Nice one!

Glad you like it, Elizabeth.:snork: For me, when building the pond, I wasn't happy with the messing about with filters, chemicals, uv lightss etc, as it was too much time and expense involved. I wanted something really natural that once in balance would run itself. Geoff Hamilton was/is a Hero of mine and I followed his advice on building a wildlife pond and how to use marginal plants and an integral Bog Garden to extract the nutrients from the pond water thereby keeping it clear. Maybe I was lucky because it worked from day one and I've never had a single problem with it, even with my fish in it adding their waste to it, since I built it in '93. I do have to have a annual wade around in it to tidy it up in the Spring and perhaps divide marginal plants but that's about it.:dunno::snork:
