ID needed please

    109.JPG First time I've uploaded pictures so hopefully they work and come out the right way round!
    I was given these plants by an elderly lady (sadly no longer with us) who even wrote me a list of what they were and now....I've lost the list:doh:

    Not sure on the bush, but if the second has purple flowers, it could be a cornflower. The leaves remind me of a lpant I used have in my old garden. Also known locally as a HardHead and I remember (vaguely) in my youth using the flower heads as balls with a cricket bat, had one heck of a crack whan hit!

    I think the leaf looks slightly different to Lobelia Lupa but then I'm only going by Google images....not too clued up about plants as you can might guess!
    Never thought about cornflowers - it hasn't flowered yet so may have to wait and see - if it's the same plant I'll keep my grandson well away with the cricket bat:)
    Lesson learned ...keep lists in a safe place:heehee:
