Water but pump

    I don't think it will give you the pressure - my plumber was here yesterday fiddling with my central heating system and that was his opinion. Mind you ... probably like us gardeners : ask two plumbers and get three opinions!

    No harm in trying, that's for sure. I'd be really interested to know if it will operate a sprinkler. Stick a filter on the inlet though - some tights would do, pro temp.

    Purchased the Hozelock pump online, I now await with baited breath...
    Will post my conclusions

    If i`d known i might have been able to save you a few quid. I have a Seapump JTP-35 stainless jet pump sitting in the shed thats seen all of 5 minutes use from new.

    Update on Hozelock pump purchase, unfortunately due to the lack of rainfall since I purchased it, I've only tried it out on one occasion but so far I'm quite impessed. It empties a 200 litre water butt in about 8mins connected to 20 metres of hose and a sprinkler

    If you get a water butt pump they can usually be left in as long as the water doesnt freeze.
