    I was at work when this story broke today - a colleague happened to check the news app on his phone, and just blurted it out in shock; I am gutted. He had an amazing talent, yet was incredibly down to earth, and always came across as a thoroughly decent guy.​

    I'd have loved to have gone for a pint with him. ​

    RIP Mel, and thank you for many, many laughs​
