Can anybody tell me what these are please? I've been in contact with an American relative and she used these terms.........Poison Oak and Yellow Jacket.

I've got relatives out there too. Yellow jacket is a wasp, I think. Poison oak is a plant that causes a nasty rash and in some cases makes people quite ill. Nasty stuff.

Victoria, my relative was telling me about the plant and the insect in an email and I wanted to know what they were, I've not heard of either of them before and thought members might explain for me. I have never been to America, so haven't got a clue. There were no photo's provided. :)
