10 days after the fire and we are getting on with things. As mentioned in the blog post above we have building works on the house at the moment which is quite a nice distraction.

Our insurance people have been out made the initial assessment. There may be an upper limit on the plants, but waiting to hear back on that. Unfortunately in such events it is not a case of simply claiming on the insurance policy where the fire started, so everyone affected has to claim on their own. However the building, fences and tools are all covered fully.

The garden is fighting back with a number of plants re-sprouting already - http://www.alternativeeden.com/2013/07/life-after-fire.html

Gutted for you, but you seem very positive so it'll be bigger and better than before. These things happen, take it on the chin and look forward.

          Everything happens for a reason!

This rain we have been having should help with the recovery.
