    Well,
this has just come out of the bread maker. A wicked buttery French style white loaf.
It's destined for tea with homemade Gooseberry and Elderflower jam.

What would you do with it?
    Jenny

Ooooh, now that looks superb! Recipe please?

I've just finished filling the slow cooker, and a large pot with ingredients for a sort of chucked-together kinda stew (I had more ingredients than I thought, so overran to the pot - still, that is dinner sorted for tonight as well as a good four or five family size portions for the freezer :blue thumb:

        Hi FC.
        Yum, yum,
a slice or two with a good home made stew...

1 tsp dried yeast for bread maker
        400 grams white bread flour
        1 tsp salt
        1 tblsp sugar
        25 grams butter
        2 tblsp dried milk powder
        285 ml water
Select "French" setting ( 6 hours)

After 5 hours, lift lid, snip top of dough diagonally and brush with milk.
Close lid for final 1 hour bake,
        Jenny

          Thanks Jenny :)

I have just had a taste of the concoction in the pot - yummy, and with a strong background heat thanks to the Caribbean pepper from the greenhouse. I've just put some diced potato into it so it will hopefully be like a hotpot type thing, and all I need to do then is a couple of Yorkshires to go with it.

Slather it with butter and eat it warm.

Toast & Marmite (or Vegemite) with hard boiled eggs is one of my favourite breakfasts.

In an ideal world, i'd cut the top off, scoop out some of the middle and fill it with a stew of freshly killed Mussells with Wild Leeks.

But seeing as that would involve being in Dorset and North Cornwall at the same time thats unlikely to happen.
