How do I take a screen shot?

I've only done this once before, so could someone explain it to me and other members that may not know please.

 

Pressing <PrntScr> will upload the entire screen into you clipboard, so then paste into the likes of Paint (or another program) select crop, then resize. Adjusting the view % will help get the right selection.

If you have the Snipping Tool App http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/use-snipping-tool-capture-screen-shots#1TC=windows-8 It's useful for selecting specific areas.

 

With respect Woo, you are using Windows 8 and I'm on Windows 7.

Scrungee and Woo, may I point out please that you are talking to a computer idiot, so you will have to talk me through this in idiots terms please. I found the 'PrntScr' button but beyond that I'm at a total loss.

 

Have you located Paint? (I'll go and find it on a Windows 7 laptop in minute if you havn't)

Scrungee.....No I haven't located paint, or anything else beyond the screen print button. I never need to use these things (until now) so haven't bothered with them.

 

Are we talking about screenshots of webpages? If so and you're using Google Chrome then I would recommend Awesome Screenshot. It's an app so sits at the top of the page and is very easy to use.

Woo, it wasn't exactly where you said it would be but I've found it, thank you. My screen shot with a little bit of guess work in the process is now duly posted.

 

Now you've used them, pin them to your task bar for future use

 

Reading your advice to Sheal thought I would give it a go but I do not have Accessories, looked every where, HelpRunning Windows 7
