what do you do with snails?

Just as the title suggest really.

It rained a lot yesterday and they were all over my shed and fence. I was going to pick them all aand put them in a bucket but didnt bother, as I didnt have a plan much past that. What do you do

 

I give them flying lessons, they land in the field behind me. or if the front garden, lessons in how to cross the road safely.

 

As Pam, mine get lobbed into the woods behind our house, that's if my in-laws don't put them in the pot first! They're usually cooked here with a spicey tomato sauce.

 

I put mine into orbit with the aid of a catapult. Cheers, Tony.

 

Helix pomatia is a protected species so just put them elsewhere.!!

We don't have a problem with snails and slugs, probably because of the hedgehogs that live under the decking. Caterpillars however are another story......

I do, the express route. all snails are the same to me

 

As Lorea in-laws, they are eaten here, cooked in herbs. In fact, we have a snail farm 2kms from us, has a shop in Albufeira and vans which ferry the little critters (caracois and the larger carocoletas) to various restaurants. Personally, I lob mine into the orange orchard next door.
