    Just as the title suggest really.

    It rained a lot yesterday and they were all over my shed and fence. I was going to pick them all aand put them in a bucket but didnt bother, as I didnt have a plan much past that. What do you do

    I give them flying lessons, they land in the field behind me.:yes: or if the front garden, lessons in how to cross the road safely.

      As Pam, mine get lobbed into the woods behind our house, that's if my in-laws don't put them in the pot first! They're usually cooked here with a spicey tomato sauce.

          Generally, flying lessons here too - - I don't intentionally hit the fence with them, but sometimes the fight trajectory is a bit out; I reckon its turbulence because I live near Heathrow.............

            We don't have a problem with snails and slugs, probably because of the hedgehogs that live under the decking. Caterpillars however are another story......

                          Rich, they're highly unlikely to be Helix pomatia. You live on clay soil and they aren't very keen on that. Also, they came out after rain and they don't like wet conditions. Nazeing has, generally, too damp conditions for them.
