    Ok here are the pics:

The back garden with some roses on the left and near the shed.
The centre bit was done today with lots of different flowers from B&Q today...don't ask what they are, absolutely no idea! lol

Thinking of putting some gravel near the decking and the other 3 borders with various flowers, but open to ideas!

Here's the front garden, absolutely empty! Not touched it at all since I bought the house and have no idea what approach to take. All ideas welcome on this to. IMG_2783.JPG

      Kayfaz,
      re: the front garden
how about a hook for a hanging basket out the front? It would look colourful and once planted up, you just have to remember to water it - daily if it turns out hot. And are you any good with at carpentry? Knock up a simple window box - the flowers will wave to you as you come home. Easy to manage - again, the right plants for the job and don't forget to water,

2 Hanging Baskets are definitely on the list. A Window box sounds very tempting, but I doubt I would be confident with the job myself though, unless if I can buy them ready made and just nail it to the window?

Easy - try something like this @kayfaz - drill two holes in the relevant places, put in two screws with wall plugs (I heartily recommend the piranha molly ones by Black & Decker), and hang the basket up and away you go.

Its a good idea to make sure that you add vermiculite or water retaining gel in with the compost to ensure your plants don't dry out too quickly.
