    I was walking down our driveway this afternoon when I spotted what I though was a patch of moss growing in the plastic cover of a fence post. I thought it was a bit strange so had a closer look.
    Can anyone identify these?

      Can't remember their name but if you blow really gently on them they disperse and make a break for it!

        Dave, they are young of the Orb Web spider as Loofah said, the huge females are often seen in the middle of a huge web, you probably have seen them before often with dew or frost on them.:smile:
