I made up 4 baskets, 2 for my neighbour and 2 for me. I didn`t go overboard on my neighbours as she doesn`t water enough, :gaah:, a few trailing petunias, trailing lobelia, couple of spare fuchsia and geraniums, bit of nepeta and anything else I could chuck in to fill it :heehee:, mine is a bit more,.
Some :hate-shocked:B, has stolen hers, it`s not the plants it`s the baskets annoying me, they are those easy fill that cost me.
I have just ordered some U.V. pens from Amazon, but on a walk round local streets, cannot spot many baskets at all, they have probably chucked the plants anyway, so not easy to say that`s my basket if I did spot any.
I have now thread wire through the chains on mine and secured it to the holder, so if they come back for mine it won`t be easy, and time consuming.
    Lesson Learned.

Sorry to hear that Pam, its the thought someone snooping around as well !!!
I know only baskets but best reported

When I lived in "Gavin & Stacey area" :th scifD36: you will know where I mean you coudnt have any pots or baskets out in the front and one house had a basket it must of been 10 feet up as the kids used to swing on them given any opportunity , same with plants in the front garden regularly pulled out, in the end I just had a lawn and two huge pampas grass every year the plumes would have some fool trying to snap them off but quickly learned how razor sharp they were :loll:

I made a Christmas wreath from all natural materials last year and it was stolen from my front within 24 hours. This year I'm going to wire it to the knocker and then connect it to the mains

There was reports some months ago of a couple cruising the close late at night, a few things had gone missing, solar lights etc, it just seems so petty, I have taken to sleeping with my vertical blinds slightly ajar so if my lights come on I can spring into action, if they wake me or the dog., not that she would be much use, too friendly, but at least she`s big and black.

                  Don't need to.
Since the basket will be made from some kind of insulating material, it becomes a simple mater of connecting Live to the supporting chain on the one side of the basket and Neutral to the other.
But since we are all very supportive of Health and Safety, we will connect the Ground to the soil that the flowers are in. :heehee:

Securing with cable ties should put em off, they'd need to cut thru them.

Connecting it to the mains may be a no no, you could by a electric mains fencer and give them a good shock

                        I thought that too ...

(You can press the COG button on [most/many] YouTubes and get a x0.5 speed option, which I find makes it easier to review things like that
