Well, I have been messing about with the forward looking HD cam on the car, and have already recorded some nutters, just in 2 days.
One of the incidents was involving a pedestrian though, who decided to drop his trousers and pants, and lift up his shirt, and then shake his "stuff" (thats not a typo thank the lord), on this sunny Saturday afternoon.
Do any of you know of some easy to use free editing software, that can do simple edits like cutting down the clips to the piece of interest. It would also be good to blur out number plates.......is that even possible??
Any help would be appreciated as always :)

He didn't see the camera Lea, luckily for me I was coming from his rear end.
I think it was just a random act related to youth. Lets face it.....we've all done it.
I have clipped it off, and saved it to show the girls at work. They will find it amusing no doubt.

        Yo Sprucey :)
Its an increasingly common thing at the moment.
The main reason it is done is for evidence if there is an accident. So often people say park up, it was my fault, and when you do, they then change their minds. I know from experience. I hit a bus and he said he was at fault and then changed his mind. He was never going to win because of the angle of damage on both vehicles. The insurance tried it on too by saying 80% his fault, 20% mine, to which I told them its going to court then. Ten minutes later they phoned back saying 100% his fault (crafty devils).
Another reason (personal) is because I do a difficult journey, and when I get held up, I am not believed. Most of our workers are within 10 mins or less of work. My journey is 25 miles each way.
It is also an eye opener to some people of the stupidity of some road users. I was looking at some clips others have recorded on youtube. Shocking!

Good morning I have a camera installed in Mrs Woo's car that records through the front windscreen and the back window,It records about a week and then starts again,it has helped on three occasions in the past, when I have played it back to the aggressor, and they couldn't argue when they watched it;) it is so tiny that I doubt if anyone can see it in the car:smile: we have had one for approximately 2 years, and it makes for good viewing on our T.V.

Yeah, I think its great, and it cost me about £11. I already had a 'fast' sd card. :)
I believe that most cars will have these in the near future. If not as standard equipment, then supplied by the car owner. I often see trucks with them front and rear, along with signs saying 'video recording in progress' or alike.
If anyone is interested, here is a link on Amazon. I have the 'super legend' one because I am a cheapskate :) The battery won't hold its charge though, so they offered to replace it. For £11 though, I couldn't be bothered. The good thing is though that it remains plugged in and starts automatically when I start the engine, and switches off when I stop the engine :)
There is an auto record over old footage thing too, but I need to set that up in the menu. So I really need to do nothing unless I want to take the sd card out for download.
Can you embed MP4 in here?

You could easily turn it to face mobile users if mounted close to you. Mine is high on passenger side though. Maybe turning it is as bad as them though :) unless stationary of course ;)

What sort of camera do you have, and where do you have it? Is it taped/fixed/ implanted etc? Do you have pictures of it?

                  Thanks!

I got all excited and thought this was another foraging thread! Going to do well with the Hazelnut cookies this year. (Wallnuts next)

P.S. On my last visit to town I had to swerve twice, once because a vehicle in front wanted to use half 'my' lane going round a roundabout and another time because an oncoming vehicle wanted to use 'my' lane. Happens nearly every time I go there, so I'm actually thinking about front & rear cameras.

There is a link, a few posts up. It comes with a window mount (suction cup type). I have the super legend HD. Although it is questioned as to being HD or not. The picture quality isn't bad though for about £11 :)

I had a full video DVD that my cousin gave me and there was one really special moment on it that I wanted to you-tube, the most effective and easy to use bit of software I found recently was TinyTake. It took me about 5 minutes to figure it out to use to snip a part of the video from the screen into a file. It's free as well, I like that in a product!

It takes all sorts. One lad, showing off in front of his friends, tried to kick the front of my old Gothilda, while I was driving her. Had he not snatched his leg out of the way in the nick of time (I had no chance of reacting in time anyway), his leg would have have literally shattered and probably would have just about ripped off with the impact.
