    I planted my garlic on the 25th of this month and its coming through Already. Is this to soon???

    Blimey that is quick, but due to the very mild weather I suppose. They will be fine, so don't worry.

    Haven't planted garlic for years ... might just put in a few pieces :)

    Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me but I always thought the "rule of thumb" for garlic was:
    plant on the shortest day (Dec 21)
    harvest on the longest day (June 21)
    I was saving mine as another "Christmas" chore to be done :heehee:

    Nah, Oct/Nov is fine. Mine went in maybe a bit before that and I have shoots too. Hoping for a less wet winter this year as last year they got terrible garlic rust

      I only have a 12x10 raised bed for mine. This yr was runner beans and lots of salads,that my granddaughter helped with (to feed the tortoises, 2015 4 rows of onions and 4 of garlic. The rest will be salads again lol. Got to keep the granddaughter interested
