            I remember back in the 70's on the Concorde project, they were offering employees £1000 for ideas that could save 1lb in weight, a LOT of money back then! Weight saving is nothing new, indeed, it's always been pretty much top of the agenda. Trust me, a 1% weight saving is a big deal, in the aircraft industry.
