But the Fuschia rarely gets mentioned here, it's always 'Ragwort' that is referred to as our national flower, in Manx it's called 'Cushag' pronounced coosh (as in whoosh) erg. Unfortunately Wiki doesn't reside here to know all the facts. :)

I'd stick with ragwort, I thought Fuchsia was S. American.

It's Fuschia Magellanica that grows here Pete and yes it's south American. :)

We've not seen many Fucshias in S. America but when we were in the Amazon once we saw them grow to 40ft high and seemed to be using higher trees for support! :hate-shocked:

Recently, at a supermarket, a young mum showed me that a twenty pence piece worked in a trolley. I was very surprised. I'm guessing that this new coin will work in the same fashion? :)

I thought the Amazon was in S. America.:smile:

Not sure that they come from the tropical parts particularly, more kind of temperate.
With a few in N. Zealand.

Yes, it's still there :blue thumb: :lunapic 130165696578242 5: but we've travelled through most countries in S. America and don't remember seeing them anywhere else! Lots of lupins, though  :heehee:
