I only heard about this a few days ago and I've been looking into purchasing one. I just read a review at http://gardenaholic.com/spear-head-spade-review but wondered if anyone else has tried this out before?

I suffer from back pain and I can find it difficult to do extensive gardening work. I've been told that this shovel was designed to help with this kind of thing. Any opinions would be much appreciated :) :)

The size of the blade looks smaller than the usual shovel so it may be easier to manage with a bad back.

It's a slight variation on a normal garden shovel, I'd say.

A pointy shovel obviously requires less leverage to remove soil and thus less back strain.
