Have created a rounded flower bed up at my plot using concrete blocks obtained from freecycle. I want to encourage bees etc to help pollinate my veggies, but I also want it to look nice! Have put some rotted manure underneath and topsoil on top obviously, but have a trampoline netting underneath to keep some nasty weeds at bay, so I'm tempted to keep any plants etc in pots in it this year so the manure can mix in properly and it can all settle, but then that could be me just being paranoid that I've used trampoline netting instead of normal weed membrane image.jpg .

Next to it are raspberry and gooseberry bushes, with a small herb bed on the other side.

Any recommendations? Ideally something perennial :)

Great idea, I've found some wildflower mix, poppies and stock perfection in my seed box. Going to get a nice potted plant as a centre piece :)
