The beach huts are quite nice, but not THAT nice :heehee:

The newspaper gives the wrong impression about how isolated they are. The Hengistbury Head car park isn't too far away and you can walk from the car park. The shorter routs is the ferry but the car park at Mudeford gets full up quite quickly.

Blinking ridiculous if you ask me! Don't get me wrong I'd love one but not at that price!
This brings to to a little story (sorry to bore you all!) approximately 19 years ago hubby & I bought a three bed house in the village, it was everything we wanted at the time & we were very happy with it, anyway about that time we had a day trip to southwold, it was lovely & I ofcourse fell in love with the place. We walked along the streets just up from the beach & I wanted a two bed cottage :rolleyespink:! We saw one for sale, dashed to the estate agents window & there it was for £64,000! (Back then I didn't know what I know now & immediately thought we couldn't afford it ) I put the idea to the back of my mind until some years later when we next visited, I had the same feelings about the place & again looked at the property for sale, the very same cottage was in the market but this time for £265.000! :thud: I couldn't believe my eyes, I went in to speak to the estate agent in great detail he was such a nice man & he said he'd lost count of the number of times he'd had the same conversation! We never bought a house there but I have to say that's one of my biggest regrets! But having said that if we'd have bought that maybe we would have been in a position to do other things! Perhaps it's as long as it is wide! Hope I didn't bore you with my story! :)

About 20 - 25 years ago one of those chalets was for sale for £70,000. They didn't have the price on it but I phoned the agent and laughed when he told me the price. :noidea:

I've got a shed if anyone wants to buy that? I'll take half the price of the beach huts. :)
