                  Depending on the type, you may not want it to stay because unless it can become rampant and take over your garden. But, by the looks of the rest of your garden and how it looked when you moved in, I get the feeling the person who lived there before knew what they were doing and its probably the non invasive variety. Just ... keep an eye on it ;)

                    You are lucky if you have it :) I planted 5 comfrey plants this year from root i bought on eBay and they are growing nicely :) Really looking forward next year to being able to harvest them. I read you should leave them alone the first year but they are growing a real good rate at the moment :)
