I picked one of these up at the local Morrisons last week and after 3 days the flowers had begun to wilt and drop off. Would this be expected behaviour at this time of year?
can anyone shed any light? I placed it in the bathroom with a couple of moth orchids
which seem to flourish there. dend.JPG

Probably due to a change of temperature and/or humidity

Not much you can do really once the buds start dropping off

To be fair, unless you bought it with unopened buds the flowers could have been open for some time. As they age they become more fragile so a change in conditions is all it takes to finish them off.

Thanks to you both, it turns out that they exchanged it for a healthy one
