We open our garden at least once each year in aid of a local charity.

    GARDEN OPEN FOR CHARITY

We are approx 15 minutes from junctions 7 and 8 on the M11 motorway and about 20 minutes from Chelmsford and Hertford (the County towns of Essex and Hertfordshire).

Our charity this year is Grove Cottage which is in Bishops Stortford. It provides activities for children and adults with learning disabilities and respite care for parents and carers. It has a nursery and clubs for different ages. It is not nationally funded but is maintained by local donations only :) :) :).

If you like to look at gardens, support a worthy charity or just have a break, we
shall be happy to see you on Saturday 23rd May (Bank Holiday Saturday). :thmb:

    The garden is open from 10 a.m. - noon and 2.00 â?? 4.00 p.m.

    Entry £1 per person.

Tea/coffee with cake or biscuits will be available for a donation of £1.

There will also be many plants for sale and this year we should have quite a lot of runner bean and tomato plants, some courgette and squash plants and quite a few of the strawberry plants are already carrying fruit.

Please PM me or email me for directions.

Once again, this year, we have made a lot of alterations.

There are three pubs in the village and a very nice Village Tearoom.

We would love to see our GC friends here. :gnthb: :gnthb: :gnthb:

    Hi Strongy,

With one week to go they are doing well :gnthb:

Thanks very much for sending them. They are under special guard :hehe:

We still have to sort out our plant sale areas and price up everything as well as geting the garden into shape.

I dug up some aqualegia the other day and bagged them up for sale. Just have to make sure that they don't droop during the week.

I just came indoors for a cuppa and shall go back out there and do some more mowing.

    Hi John,

We can't get a big enough vehicle to put the garden on. Otherwise we would have had a road show :hehe:

The forecast at the moment is good for Saturday :gnthb:

Hi Shiney sorry didn't realise you had added more photo's:dh::D

Your plants all look good :thmb:and I see that Oscar is having plenty of sleep:snz: k-lMy cats get into my greenhouse but tend to knock all the pots over and off the staging so they are banned in there until after all the plants come out, then our Poppy usually spends her days asleep on the slats.:D

Hope the weather is decent for you this year because I think it was a bit of a washout last year:(.At the moment we are being battered by some really strong winds so I don't envy all those down in Chelsea this week:p
