    Good evening all.
Any LBC listeners out there? Enjoy sitting in the garden with the log burner going, planning future projects and listening to conversation on the radio. Gardeners corner on the iPad to keep up with threads and a can of Fosters or a coffee for company. I always seem to have LBC in background so I can have the odd rant at the radio and the plants.

It was London's Biggest Conversation until a year or so ago but the became Leading Britain's Conversation after going national. Crammed full of callers expressing sometimes, the most bizarre views. Sorry for confusion. He he.

I've listened to it for the last 42 years :old:

It started as London Broad Casting in 1973, then LBC, then LBC 97.3 (its frequency), became known as just 97.3 for a while and then progressed onwards. It always marketed itself as the only no music programme with discussion between the public and the presenters.

My favourite presenter is Nick Ferrari (7 a.m. - 10 a.m.) who has won the Gold Award for Broadcaster Of The Year.

I don't listen in the evening because I'm out most evenings.

Agreed, shiney about Nick Ferrari. He's superb. Also enjoy James O'Briens mystery hour on Thursdays. Have it on most of the day when I can. I've been a listener for about 20 years now.

I am a fan of Steve Allen from 4am to 6.30 during the week and then again on Saturdays normally between 5 to 7 and again in conversation with different celebs on Sunday mornings and repeated Sunday evenings. Nick Ferarri is good as are quite a few other programme hosts on there.

I now tend to turn on to Essex Radio from 6.30 when Steve Allen finishes so I can listen to James Whale.

Is James Whale still going? I thought that someone would have got him by now. Mrs LWW and I used to listen to his live late show on Radio Aire in the late 80's, I think that he had just started out and if I say he was contemptuous to his callers I am being very kind to him. We used to laugh for hours but didn't dare phone in to him :sofa:
