UK Aquatic Plant Society

We are, so far, the only aquarium club/society in the UK to specialise in the planted aquarium hobby.
It is still very early days for the society but we have plenty of exciting plans for the future including extensive online articles/library, interviews with the hobby’s “big players”, meetings, plant swaps, auctions, merchandising etc. The possibilities are only limited by what you, the potential member can bring to the society.
Our initial main goal is to boost public awareness of the UK planted tank hobby, through various forms of media, especially the Internet. Practical Fishkeeping, the UK’s bestselling fishkeeping magazine and their hugely popular and successful website has our support too, as does many of the planted aquarium forums.
UKAPS was conceived by a group of enthusiasts brought together by a shared passion of planted aquariums. Our experience and specific interest levels span a broad spectrum but we all share a common passion for aquarium plants. From aquascaping and photography, to the more scientific aspects such as fertilisation technique. Our knowledge base is far and wide and of course, is increasing all the time with every new member.
All levels of hobbyist are welcome to join UKAPS, from the complete newbie to the guru. Through our own forum you can ask questions or share your experiences and knowledge, as appropriate. We are all here to help one another and make the hobby as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.
