I think we all agree this season so far is the worst for losing plants due to Slugs & Snails. But we don't give up, do we:whistle:
I'm growing Arran Pilot this year in bags, they appear to be doing well with all the rain. Just lucky dip each year what grows well IMO.

Walking around the garden swearing about the Snails. Potted on more Tomatoes.
The scores on the doors: Snails 3 v Runner Beans 0. All I'm left with is stalks. I have more to plant if I can be bothered.
I planted out 3 Runner Beans, then it started raining, cleared everything away and now it's hot Sunshine...........Sod it, can I say that:whistle:

I get more enjoyment visiting "Open Gardens" in my area, seeing what ordinary people can do with a small plot/garden.
I cut the Grass at the top of the garden, then watched to FA Cup.
Really dark (black) clouds, no rain though.
And on the other hand a person I know played the system when he left school. His GP signed him off as unable to work. So this guy is in a local...
My local Waitrose water their plants with a very good selection.
