I can honestly say there have never been berries on the bush ... I don't live in the house anymore and so I am trying to identify it so I can grow...
It was pruned last year ...but almost every year I pruned it after the flowers and when I didn't there was never any berries . This gardening...
This shrub does not have berries ever ...or in 10 years I have never seen any
Well it's not a symphorcarpus as it does not bear white fruit like in the photo ..... if you look my 1st photo you can see the tiny little buds on...
Really really tiny .there that small.you can't really see what shape they are ...when I built decking close to the bush there were stringer off...

I have just checked some pictures and it is similar to a shrubby honeysuckle ...however the pink blooms are that small I could never tell what...
Someone else said a honeysuckle ... thought they were climbers ... please forgive my knowledge as I have just got into gardening ...
It's not a spirea ... looks like a escallonia but like I said the leaves are not shiny green .... it has tiny tiny little pink buds that flower...
