Whilst we are congratulating Glasgow, I think we should congratulate some people closer to home.

Congratulations Webmaster, Daisees and all the moderators on reaching 4,000 members on the friendliest gardening forum, from any country, on the web.

I've had my moments (sometimes engineered, my kids call me a stirrer) where various members and I have been metaphorically shouting at each other. You have handled it brilliantly by taking the attitude, 'If we leave it, it will blow over'. It usually does, but I always get the feeling that if it doesn't, you are at least watching, to restore equilibrium.

As somebody who recently found GC but has been on other forums may I say that this one is brilliant.

Keep it up guys, and thank you. Here's a litre of martini to the next 4,000 [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

[IMG] well said john [IMG] i used another forum untill i found GC, there was a lot of arguing and i thought they were a bit clicky (spelling) also you couldnt post seperate pics or email each other, i found it a bit cold, GCs friendlier and warmer and funnier [IMG] i could go on and on [IMG]

It doesn't seem that long ago we were celebrating our 2000th member, now it's doubled.
Although some have come and gone it is good to see some of the original members are still here which just goes to prove what a good site it is.
    Well done Nathan. [IMG] [IMG]

i agree John, this is a great site.
i, too, like the fact that there are moderators. as yet i haven't seen anyone on here that needs to be 'interfered' with :D cos we're all so nice, aren't we!
    i like a bit of a debate & it's nice that no-one takes offence.
let's hope for another 4000 members.
    cheers

I have only been using this site for a short time but have had so much help and encouragement.
    Everyone seems so friendly.

I don't mind asking 'blonde' questions on here as people don't put you down and make you feel stupid.

I'm a Jack of all trades not knowing much about anything and find this site great for finding answers.
    Gardening ,Computers ,Photography everything.
It really is a great site.
