    Hi All,

Just registered and wanted to say hello. I've just recently got the gardening bug after the doctor said I had to do more exercise - as I work in IT, I sit on my bum most of the time!!!

Always, kept the gardens tidy and lawns mowed etc but never really took an interest - until now.

Most of my efforts are going in to growing some veg and I'm particularly interested in heirloom/heritage growing - carrots before they were orange etc. Plus I'd prefer not to grow stuff that's been manipulated in a lab over and over again.

So, I'm going to try and be as organic as possible and see what happens.

No doubt I will be on here often for advice or to show off my results - if I get any.

My first disaster: I didn't realise how much slugs loved cougette plants. Although I've just seen my first flower appear today so it looks like they survived!!!

I'm rambling now so bye for now...

    Regs,
    Numb

Hi, welcome to the Association of Slugfeeders. It gets to be a way of life eventually :hehe: I think courgette plants are one of the few hardy enough to fight back.

    Hi and welcome!

But take it easy in the garden, it can become like "hard labour" if you get carried away too soon. Just a bit at a time, as there's always next year!
