On the 21st July 2023 our 38 year old son suddenly died. Today we have been looking at plants that over the years he has given us.
A beautiful deep purple clematis is flowering the best it ever has.
The dahlias under the old apple tree are just starting to show flower buds.
The lavender is covered with fragrant flowers.
A Paeonia we had to move as it wasn't happy in one place is growing much better but no signs of flowers.
The black and red currants have all been picked.
The pinks are flowering really well this year.
The bromeliad in the garden room is looking better now it has been repotted.
The Phalaenopsis orchid continues to flower as it has done now for nearly 2 years.
The narcissi and daffodils planted on the edges of the paths in the orchard give us much lovely colour in the Spring.
Just a few plant memories he has left for us.
    A very sad day.

      That's terribly sad @On the Levels .
I'm sure you treasure the memories even more than the plants.

My heart goes out to you @On the Levels.

You describe some beautiful plants there, and they must be even more special than you ever imagined when you planted them.

I’m so very sorry for your loss @On the Levels. A very difficult day for you indeed. I hope you are able to find some small comfort in the beautiful plants your son gave you, knowing that they would give you years of pleasure.
