Anyone remember me asking about hot water plants? Achimenes? Well, I've been growing the cuttings I was given on this window ledge, along with some streptocarpus, and the spider plants Strongy gave me - and they're all very happy there! The flower of the achimenes is very similar to the streptocarpus - but not the leaves - rather nice together!

What do other people grow on their window ledges?

I've only started having house plants in the last couple of years - up to then I had too many kids and animals around that were likely to damage them....

I've grown to love the streptocarpus - and they're so easy to propagate! All the ones on the window ledge are divisions of 2 main plants.... and there are half a dozen good-sized, flowering plants grown this year from leaf cuttings of both cultivars, Carys and Black Panther. If anyone would like one, I have a few who would love a good home....
